Elevation Academy

Privacy policy

Effective October 22, 2026

Elevation Academy is an online real estate investing education platform run by Elevation Capital Group ("ECG", "we" or "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you request access to or use the academy, how we use it, who can see it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Questions about it are welcome at academy@elevationcg.com.

Information you give us

When you request access:

  • your name, email address and password (the password is stored only in hashed form by our sign-in system)
  • the programs you choose
  • if you add them, your company, phone number and a note about your background
  • whether you tick the box to hear about future programs

As you use the academy:

  • your intake answers, and the scores, learning path and action plan built from them, including tasks you add or complete
  • your lesson progress, knowledge-check answers and scores, and your review schedule
  • notes you write in lessons and prompts you save in the prompt generator
  • evaluation models you save in a program's tools: the title, the inputs you enter and your notes
  • share links you create for a model, how many times each has been opened and when it was last opened
  • spreadsheets you export from the evaluation tool: what you exported, when, and your IP address and browser
  • questions you raise with instructors, your follow-up notes and the replies
  • if the lesson tutor is available, the questions you ask it and its answers

Each time you sign in you acknowledge the disclaimer, and we record which version you acknowledged, when, an identifier for that sign-in session and your browser's user-agent string. Some programs have a disclaimer of their own. For those we also record the name you type, your account's email and name at that moment, the statements you ticked and your IP address.

The evaluation tool has a notice of its own. You acknowledge it each time you open the tool (whenever you come back to it after a period away from it; the notice page shows how long), at each sign-in and whenever the notice changes, and each acknowledgment is recorded separately. For it we also record the name you type, your account's name and email, the email you signed in with, your contact record id in ECG's contact system, your company, phone number, role and cohort at that moment, your IP address, browser and browser language, an identifier for that sign-in session, the version of the notice and a fingerprint of its text, the program and page you were opening and the statements you ticked.

Information collected automatically

  • Which glossary terms you open, and from which lesson, so we can see which terms need a better explanation.
  • When you ask for a sign-up, sign-in or password-reset email, a scrambled (hashed) form of your email address and IP address, used to limit repeated requests. It is kept only briefly: entries older than two days are deleted as new requests come in.
  • Standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, browser details and the times of requests, that our hosting, database and email providers keep to operate and secure the service.

Cookies and your browser's local storage are covered below.

How we use it

  • To create and secure your account, review your access request and enroll you in programs.
  • To run the academy for you: your learning path, progress, plan and review queue, answers to your questions and the tutor.
  • To send emails about your account and your learning: confirming your address, sign-in and password-reset links, your approval and replies to your questions. Instructors also receive emails about access requests and raised hands, which include your name, email, company, background note and question.
  • To let instructors and administrators support you, check how well the tutor works and how it is used, and improve the course.
  • To keep a record of disclaimer acknowledgments and spreadsheet exports, limit abuse and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and the academy uses no advertising or tracking technologies.

Who can see it

Instructors and administrators of the academy can see your profile and your activity in it, including your intake answers, learning path, plan, progress, quiz answers, review schedule, notes, saved evaluation models, share links, spreadsheet exports, questions, tutor conversations, glossary lookups and disclaimer acknowledgments. They can also export the records of program disclaimer acknowledgments and of evaluation-tool acknowledgments and exports. Prompts you save in the prompt generator are visible only to you in the academy.

Other students cannot see your records, apart from a model you share (below). If an instructor publishes one of your questions on a lesson, students enrolled in that program see the question and the instructor's answer, without your name. Your own follow-up notes on it stay private.

If you share an evaluation model by link, anyone who opens the link while signed in to the academy with access to that program sees your name, the model's title, its inputs and your notes, and can copy the model into their own list. A member who copies your shared model keeps that copy, including the notes it carried, in their own list. You choose when a link expires, and you can turn a link off at any time while your account and program access are active; links stop working while they are not.

Who we share it with

ECG's contact records. When an instructor approves or invites you, and again when your programs or cohort change, we send your name, email address, phone number (if you gave one) and tags naming the academy, your programs and your cohort to Engage, ECG's contact management system. ECG's team, including investor relations, can see these records. This happens whether or not you tick the box about future programs.

ECG's shared sign-in system. Your login is an Elevation Capital Group account in a sign-in system that ECG's other websites and apps also use. The details you give when you register are stored with that account, a basic profile record is created for you in ECG's website database, and the same email and password work in any other ECG app you are given access to.

Service providers that run the academy for us:

  • Supabase, which hosts the academy's database and the sign-in system in the United States
  • Vercel, which hosts the website
  • Resend, which sends our emails
  • Anthropic, which provides the AI model behind the lesson tutor. It receives your tutor messages and the text of the lesson you are reading, but not your name or email address.

These providers may process information in the United States and other countries. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety or security of students, ECG or others, or as part of a merger, sale or other transfer of the business.

The box about future programs

When you register, and later in Settings, you can tick “Keep me informed about future Elevation Academy programs and educational events.” Today the academy records your choice but does not act on it: no email is sent because of it, and it is not passed to ECG's contact records. If that changes, we will update this policy. Emails about your account and your questions are sent whatever you choose.

Cookies and local storage

The academy uses cookies only to keep you signed in. It also saves two kinds of information in your browser's local storage, on your device: the program you last opened, and which activities in each lesson you have completed or skipped. It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your academy account exists. If your academy account is deleted, your profile and learning records are deleted with it: progress, quiz answers, intake, plan, notes, saved prompts, saved evaluation models and their share links, questions, tutor conversations and sign-in disclaimer acknowledgments. Copies that other members made of a model you shared are theirs and stay in their lists.

Some records are kept after that:

  • records of program disclaimer acknowledgments, including the name you typed, your email, IP address and browser, kept as an audit trail
  • records of evaluation-tool acknowledgments, including the name you typed, your email, company, phone number, IP address and browser, kept as an audit trail
  • the log of your spreadsheet exports, with the inputs exported and the IP address and browser used, kept as an audit trail with the link to your account removed (each entry still refers to the acknowledgment you made at the time)
  • glossary lookups, with the link to you removed
  • your ECG sign-in account and ECG's contact records, which are separate from the academy and are not deleted automatically (ask us if you want them removed as well)
  • copies in our providers' routine backups, for a limited time

Your choices and requests

  • Change your name, company, phone number and the future-programs box at any time in Settings.
  • Ask for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion by emailing academy@elevationcg.com. We may need to confirm your identity first.
  • Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your information. Contact us to use them.

Security

Database rules let each student read only their own records and limit staff access to instructors and administrators, and connections to the academy are encrypted. No system is completely secure, so keep your password private and tell us at academy@elevationcg.com if you think your account has been misused.

Children

The academy is for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the effective date at the top.
