Terms of use

Elevation Academy is for adults (18 or older) whom ECG has approved to take part in one or more of its programs. Access begins when an instructor approves your request or invites you, and covers the programs you are enrolled in.

• Give accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date in Settings.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us at academy@elevationcg.com if you think your account has been misused.

ECG gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the academy and its materials for your own education while your access is active. The license is yours alone: you may not pass it on, sell it or share it.

The materials are confidential and proprietary to ECG and its licensors. They include the lessons, quizzes, tools, calculators, templates, glossary, resource listings and the software that runs the academy. Do not copy, record, redistribute or share your login or the materials, in whole or in part, without written permission.

You keep the rights you have in what you write yourself (your notes, prompts, models, posts and messages). You give ECG and other members only the permissions these terms describe.

Do not:

• share your login or let anyone else use your account
• copy, scrape, record or redistribute the materials
• try to break, probe or overload the academy, get around its access rules, or reach information that is not yours
• enter personal information about residents, tenants, investors or anyone else, account or Social Security numbers, or another party's confidential documents into the tutor, the prompt generator, the tools or the community
• use the academy for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm anyone

We may suspend or end access that breaks these rules (see “Ending access”).

The community is optional. Nothing about you is visible to other members, and you cannot post, share or message, until you create a community profile. To create one you choose a display name, can add a short bio, choose your settings below, and accept these terms. You can change the settings at any time in your community settings, and you can leave the community there too.

You choose three switches when you join, and each works on its own:

• Appear in the members directory. On: other members who have joined the community can find you there and see your display name, your bio, your programs, whether you accept private messages and your other community settings. Off: you are not listed.
• Accept private messages. On: members who also accept messages can send you private messages, and you can send them to those members. Off: no one can message you, and you cannot send private messages either.
• Share prompts and models. On: you can publish prompts and models to the community library. Off: you cannot publish.

The switches do not hide your posts. Threads and replies you write on the board, and items you publish to the library, show your display name to other members who have joined the community and have access to the same program (for general threads and items for all programs, every member who has joined). Private messages can be read by you and the person you wrote to, and by staff as set out in “Monitoring”.

Be respectful. Treat other members with courtesy. Do not harass, threaten, demean or discriminate against anyone, post spam or advertising, impersonate anyone, or share another member's private message outside the academy.

No personal data of other people. Do not post, share or send personal information about residents, tenants, investors or anyone else: names, contact details, account or Social Security numbers, financial details or their confidential documents. Remove identifying details from anything you share, including the inputs of a model.

No solicitation of investment. Do not use the community to offer, promote or ask for investment in any fund, deal, property or business, to look for investors or to sell services. Nothing in the community is an offer of securities, and sharing a prompt or model is not a recommendation to invest.

No legal or tax advice. Do not present anything you post as legal, tax, accounting, lending or investment advice, and do not rely on what another member posts as advice. Check with your own licensed professionals.

Staff take part. Instructors and administrators may post, reply, pin, lock, hide and remove content in the community. Their posts carry a Staff label. A staff reply is part of the education the academy offers, not advice about your situation.

You can report a thread, post, shared item or message to staff. Staff may hide a post, lock a thread, remove a shared item, or suspend or end access for anything that breaks these terms.

Community posts, replies, shared prompts and models, and private messages between members may be read by Elevation Academy staff and administrators and may be used to improve the programs and the platform, to moderate, and to reach out to members who appear to be struggling or to need help. Do not use these features for anything you would not want staff to read.

This applies whatever your switches are set to, and staff do not need a report to read community content. When you create a community profile we ask you to confirm that you understand it. The privacy policy explains what is kept and for how long.

When you publish a prompt or model to the library, you give every other member who can see it a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to view it, copy it into their own prompts or models and adapt it, for their own education. The license does not allow selling it, publishing it outside the academy or using it to promote an offering. You also give ECG a non-exclusive license to host, display and copy the item as needed to run and moderate the library.

A shared item is a snapshot of your prompt or model taken when you publish or refresh it. Later changes to your own copy do not change the shared item until you refresh it. Share only what you have the right to share.

You can unshare or remove an item at any time. Unsharing stops new copies. Copies other members already made remain with them, and they may keep using those copies for their own education. Staff may remove a shared item at any time; if we give a reason, you will see it next to the item in your list of shared items.

You can stop using the academy at any time, and you can leave the community in your community settings. To have your account deleted, email academy@elevationcg.com.

We may suspend or end your access, or your use of the community, if you break these terms or the disclaimer, if your enrollment ends, or to protect the academy or its members. When your access ends, your license ends. The confidentiality rules, the license for copies other members already made, the disclaimers and the limits on our responsibility continue.

The academy is educational only. It is not legal, tax, accounting, investment, lending or financial advice, and nothing in it is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security. No outcome is promised. The disclaimer you acknowledge each time you sign in sets this out in full and is part of these terms.

The tutor, the prompt generator and the other tools are study aids and can be wrong. Verify anything that matters against the lesson, a primary source or a licensed professional.

Community content is written by members. ECG does not review it before it appears, does not endorse it, and cannot promise it is accurate, complete or safe. Treat it as one person's view.

The academy is provided as it is, and we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, ECG is not responsible for decisions you make or losses you suffer from using the academy or from what members post.

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change affects the community, we may ask you to accept the new version again. The version you accepted is recorded with your community profile.
